The manufacturer has changed it’s specification for BroccoMax with regard to the SGS standardization. This is due to the variation of SGS content found in the present broccoli seed raw material. The recommended daily intake, as from now on, will be 2 capsules daily, which will respond to at least 35 mg SGS. Actual Certificates of Analysis may be provided on request. In order to gain the best efficacy of the broccoli seed extracts, not only the SGS content is important, but also the total spectrum of secondary plant substances including the availability of myrosinase. Since the complex, patented extraction procedures have not been changed, no price adjustment or reduction could be made for the product.
BroccoMax® is a unique dietary supplement made from broccoli seeds, which contain the precursors of sulforaphane. Sulforaphanes are phytochemicals, that can be found in a very high concentration in broccoli seeds.
Each capsule BroccoMax® contains a carefully produced concentrate of broccoli seeds and the enzyme myrosinase, which is responsible for the release of sulforaphane. The extract is standardized to 35 mg sulforaphane glucosinolate (SGS) per day. The broccoli seeds are not genetically modified and are carefully selected for the production of the extract. In a first step the seeds are degreased with supercritical carbon dioxide, mixed with a standardized extract which is prepared by water extraction and filled into plant-based cellulose capsules. The resulting concentrate has a 20 times higher concentration than the actual broccoli seeds. Extensive quality controls ensure the standardization and compliance of microbiological purity.
Broccoli also contains the ingredient sulforaphane glucosinolate, which is converted into active sulforaphane by the enzyme myrosinase. However, during the process of cooking the enzyme can be destroyed, so only a small part can be converted by the body. Since BroccoMax® also inherits Vitamin C, it ensures that the sulforaphane is reproducibly released into the body.
