QH-absorb – Coenzyme Q10

QH-absorb® is a modern dietary supplement with a high quality. Till today, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) hasn’t adopted any health claims, which acknowledge the positive effects of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) on the human body.

Jarrow Formulas actively supports coenzyme Q10 research since many years. Due to fermentation of rich yeast the classical form of coenzyme Q10, ubiquinone can be extracted and converted into the reduced form ubiquinol. The ability of the body to absorb reduced coenzyme Q10 decreases with age, especially after the age of 40. Therefore, and because of the importance of ubiquinol for the metabolism, it is recommended to supplement ubiquinol rather than ubiquinone. For QH-absorb® only Kaneka QH^TM (Kaneka Ubiquinol) is used, a natural purified coenzyme Q10 with the natural trans configuration.

The QH-absorb capsules have a natural release system (without using any genetic engineering). Therefore, a study showed a higher bioavailability after 14 days with an intake of 100 mg QH-absorb per day and an increased blood concentration of 215% compared to the starting point. However, an intake of 3 x 100 mg QH-absorb per day even showed an increased blood concentration of 777% compared to the beginning.
