Q-absorb – Coenzyme Q10

Q-absorb is a high quality dietary supplement with coenzyme Q10 in the form of ubiquinone. Till today, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) hasn’t adopted any health claims, which acknowledge the positive effects of coenzyme Q10 on the human body.

The bioavailability of Q-absorb has been the main focus of research at the university of Ancona in the work group of one of the leading coenzyme Q10 researchers. Due to the medium chained fatty acids and the high amount of lecithin Q-absorb can be digested by the human body as good as fat. In Q-absorb no tensides for a higher absorption are used, since they can affect the integrity of the gastrointestinal tract. In a study, the intake of 3 x 100 mg Q-absorb per day showed a higher bioavailability and an increase of the blood concentration of coenzyme Q10 by 300 % after 4 weeks compared to the initial position. With a simultaneously bicycle ergometer training an even more increased effect of 400 % could be shown.

The Q-absorb capsules have a totally natural release system (without any synthetic emulsifiers), which leads to an increased blood concentration of coenzyme Q10 compared to the starting point. Physical activity leads to an additional increase of the plasma concentration.

The polyphenolic carob extract gives the capsules their significant dark brown color and saves the photosensitive substance in the capsules of exposure to light.
